| JVC 42 inch Plasma Display I’ART Palette PD-42WX84JVC announced the introduction of a 42” Plasma Display Device for the consumer market.“For some time now consumers as well as our dealer base have been asking for Plasma units from JVC for the U.S. market,” said Dan McCarron, National Product Specialist for the JVC Color Television Division. “More consumers are realizing that Plasma isn’t just a cool, hip thing that hangs on the wall, but rather a great TV solution, providing HD quality in a minimum of space. The successful launch of our I’Art Pro HD CRT’s and Rear Projection televisions lines this past year makes us confident that the consumer will embrace JVC’s new addition to its HD lineup.” JVC’s I’ART Palette incorporates the new D.I.S.T. (Digital Image Scaling Technology), a unique feature that converts all images to 770p. JVC is updating its DSD circuitry with new HD DSD (Digital Super Detail) and strengthens the product by adding Home Theater features such as TheaterPro 6500K Color Temperature, PCPro 5300K Color Temperature, Digital Noise Clear Circuitry, an Interactive Plug-in Menu, XDS ID Display, and Natural Cinema 3-2 Pull down with On/Off capability for all Telecine sources. A DVI 1.0 Compatible Input with HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) offers an uncompressed solution to the transmission and display of High Definition content. The I’Art Palette Model will include Dual Auto Sensing Component Video Inputs, assuring the best possible picture quality, whether a viewer is using D-VHS, DTV or DVD. This unit also features three S-Video (2 Rear, 1 Front), four AV-Inputs (3 Rear, 1 Front) and Dual NTSC Tuners with Split Screen and POP and an ATSC Tuner. This I’ART Palette unit also includes JVC’s unique “Natural Progressive” picture improvement technologies to optimize signal quality before the picture is displayed on the screen. JVC’s 10.7 Million Pixel Natural Progressive technology doubles the image data in each field and uses advanced 3D interpolation to display a solid image without any noticeable scanning lines on-screen and eliminates jagged edge noise and image trails. For the audio portion of this new Plasma unit, JVC incorporates BBE High Definition Sound Enhancement along with a New Advanced Hyper Surround feature that compliments its Direct Drive 360Ëš Mast Speaker System with a subwoofer. JVC also includes the convenient AV CompuLink III for connectivity with its audio and video products. The PD-42WX84 is the first JVC Plasma model to be incorporated into the already successful I’Art PRO line, which includes HD CRT and HD Rear Projection televisions.
